Migration & upgrades
Off a legacy ERP, spreadsheets or an old Odoo version — with numbers you can reconcile.
Leaving an old system is a data problem before it is a software problem. Opening balances, customers, suppliers, products and stock all have to arrive in Odoo matching what your accountant already signed.
For Odoo-to-Odoo upgrades, the hard part is usually customisations written for an older version. We review each one: some are no longer needed because the new version does it, the rest are ported and tested.
What you get
- Data audit of the source system: what is clean, what is duplicated, what is missing
- Mapping document from old fields to Odoo
- Trial migrations on staging until the numbers match
- Reconciliation report: balances, stock quantities and values, open invoices
- Ported and tested customisations (for upgrades)
- Cut-over plan with a defined freeze window
- Optional parallel run until your team is confident
Typical timeline
Master-data migration is often 2–4 weeks. A full migration with history and reconciliation, or a multi-version Odoo upgrade with customisations, is usually 1–3 months.
What we need from you
- Exports or database access to the current system
- Your accountant's closing figures for the cut-over date
- A person who knows where the data skeletons are
Questions
Which Odoo versions are supported?
Odoo supports its three latest major versions. As of October 2026 that is Odoo 18, 19 and 20; Odoo 17 left standard support in September 2026. If you are on 17 or older, plan an upgrade.
Do we have to bring all history?
Rarely. Most companies bring opening balances, open documents and master data, and keep the old system read-only for history. We help you decide what is worth moving.
