Odoo & licensing
What is the difference between Odoo Community and Enterprise?
Community is free and open source. Enterprise adds full accounting (bank reconciliation, budgets, consolidation), payroll, Studio, quality, PLM, maintenance, the mobile app, helpdesk, field service and more, plus Odoo's own support and upgrades. Egyptian e-invoicing works on both.
How much does an Odoo licence cost?
Enterprise is billed per user per month by Odoo, in USD for Egypt, on either the Standard plan (Odoo Online only) or the Custom plan (needed for custom modules, multi-company and Odoo.sh or on-premise). Prices change and depend on region, so we quote the current figure in your blueprint. Community has no licence fee.
Which Odoo version should we use?
For a new project, the latest stable version — Odoo 20 as of October 2026 — unless a module you depend on is not ready for it yet. Odoo supports its last three major versions for three years each.
Is Odoo available in Arabic?
Yes. The interface, reports and documents work in Arabic with right-to-left layout. We set up bilingual invoices and train your team in Arabic.
Projects
How long does an implementation take?
A focused rollout of four or five modules usually takes 6–12 weeks; full ERP with manufacturing, payroll and custom work usually 3–6 months. We give you a dated plan after discovery.
How much does a project cost?
It depends on modules, custom work, integrations and data. We do not quote before discovery because it would be a guess — after it, you get a fixed scope and price in the blueprint before anything is built.
What do you need from our side?
A decision-maker who signs off each phase, a key user per department, your current documents and data, and time for testing and training. Projects slow down most when key users are not available.
Can you take over an Odoo project someone else started?
Yes. We start with an audit of the database and custom modules, then propose what to keep, fix or replace.
Hosting, data & support
Where will our data be hosted?
Your choice: Odoo Online, Odoo.sh, a server we manage, or your own infrastructure. Custom modules rule out Odoo Online.
Who owns the system and the code?
You do — data, configuration and custom code, in a repository you control, documented so another team could continue.
What happens after go-live?
We stay through your first closing cycle, then move to a support arrangement with agreed monthly hours, upgrades and improvements by priority.
Egypt compliance
Do you set up ETA e-invoicing?
Yes — ERP registration, signing token, item codes, branch and activity codes, and testing on the ETA pre-production environment before going live.
Do we need e-receipts at our POS?
Only if your company has been named in an ETA e-receipt decision; you can check with the ETA inquiry service. Odoo 20 supports Egyptian e-receipts natively in Point of Sale.
